The new Montegallo collection for the next spring

The charm that animates Conero’s coast between Portonovo and Numana inspires the creativity of the eclectic designer Alice Catena for the next Spring/Summer Collection 2020 of MONTEGALLO. The joy of discovering new shapes, the feeling of living always new emotions with natural colours and chromatic matches and the cheerfulness of a smile caused by materials and manufacturing are a gift to her land, Marche.

A unique landscape, between crystal clear water and soft hills which expose to the “infinity valleys” that recall Leopardi’s memory, becomes the perfect destination for a mysterious and polished Lady that is looking for special emotions, beaches hidden by white rocks and rocky coves surrounded by nature.

Casual, sophisticated, elegant, versatile and essential, the hats of Montegallo and the très-chic accessory are all you need to put in the holiday’s luggage or what to wear in the city for an immediate recognition of style and taste. The art of the past blends and contaminates itself with stylistic tendencies more audacious and sophisticated, generating a multifarious, colourful and perfect collection for every circumstance.

The material, as usual, is the real protagonist of the collection and gets intensified through manufacturings and different combinations. The stylist continues to play with noble shapes and materials coupled with braided straw, creating unique and extremely detailed hats and bags.

To the unmistakable “Rosa bag”, which comes in big, medium or small size, wearable on the wrist, joins the leather and straw belt, braided with precious details; the “Anna bag”, which also comes in small and big size and the purse with long and scenographic fringes made with 100% Italian leather and flat worked natural straw. Thanks to its wild chic nature it is announced to be a real must-have for the next summer 2020.

The hats collection is enhanced by an articulate choice of models grouped in the Iconic Collection with Lady Sombrero, Lady Fedora, Big Fedora, Lady Bogart, Lady Homburg, Lady Boater, Lady Texan, Lady Tiara, Lolita, Dulì, Pamela, Rossella and the irreplaceable Big Fringe; in the “Capri Collection” with Fedora model realised in fine linen and braided straw with wide brims and long colourful hatbands; in the “Saint Tropez Collection” with Texan Border, Texan Fringe and Aussie and finally in the “Liberty Collection” with Liberty model made with braided straw and liberty fabric hatband.

A sophisticated and luxuriant palette blends with the art of weaving and working straw, handed down from generation to generation, creating unique masterpieces of craftsmanship. The straw color palette ranges from black, which is the new entry in the collection, to raw umber and burnt Siena, from natural ecru to rope and the hatbands light up the tones with strong and bold hint of colours. The leather is tinged with black, white, olive green, navy blue, arbutus yellow and conero red bordeaux.

The absolute novelty of the collection is the line of shoes made by the best artisans of the Marche footwear school. They are unique handmade pieces with fine leathers respecting the unmistakable and indelible DNA of the brand. The “wedge” model with the strap is made of leather in the various shades of the collection and the heel is made of flat worked natural straw. The sandal model is characterized by the particular geometric wooden heel with crossed leather straps.

The Montegallo collection reaffirms its mission in recovering the Marche artisan tradition, values, femininity and timeless elegance, continuing to impress with proposals that revolutionize and emphasize the outfit worn.
